After breaking his maiden by 4 1/2 lengths
racing a mile and 70 yards at Delaware Park,
Pink Viper was the winner of two stakes at
Aqueduct, the Count Fleet Stakes. and the
Brush Up Stakes., both at a mile and 70
yards. He earned a Beyer speed figure of
108 in winning the Brush Up Stakes. Pink
Viper finished second in the $100,000
Federico Tesio Stakes at Pimlico, third in
the Don Rickles Stakes at Aqueduct and
was on the board in the Gr. III Nashua
Stakes at Aqueduct, beating Illinois
Derby-G2 winner Cowtown Cat.
Pink Viper is the only son of Smoke
Glacken standing in the state of Louisiana.
He retired sound with earnings of $210,066.
